FREEDOM WEST 2.0 PARTNERS & SUPPORTERS

Freedom West 2.0 is a bold and transformational model for equitable real estate development that is centered on achieving economic parity and self-sustainability for the existing low to moderate income residents in a high-cost, high-opportunity city.

Achieving this vision has required that we reimagine how stakeholder partners from industry, government, philanthropy, academia, and community can all work together to create a systemic change model that once successful at Freedom West, can be duplicated (in whole or in part) across the country.

PARTNERS CONVENING

In February 2022, we held the inaugural Freedom West 2.0 Partners Convening to share our vision and what had been accomplished to date.  We invited the stakeholders gathered to join us as we move forward to help make the Freedom West 2.0 vision a model for the country.

During the event held at the Battery in San Francisco, we announced the Founders Circle, with financial commitments from MacFarlane Partners, Avanath Capital, JP Morgan Chase, Freedom West Homes, Bethel AME Church, and Low-Income Investment Fund (LIIF).

World renowned landscape architect and MacArthur Genius Walter Hood unveiled his design of the Founders Circle donor monument that will document the contributions made by the original founders and resident of Freedom West, along with the new donors and investors who are making the financial commitments needed to rebuild this community and enable it to achieve long term self-sustainability.
