Victor B. MacFarlane

Victor B. MacFarlane is Executive Chairman of MacFarlane Partners, a real estate investment management and development firm he founded in 1987 that acquires, develops and manages properties on behalf of institutional investors and its own account. Under his leadership, MacFarlane Partners pioneered the urban investment concept among institutional real estate managers and is a leader in urban/smart-growth development, having invested in $13 billion in such properties nationwide.
Mr. MacFarlane has over 40 years of real estate experience and is the recipient of numerous honors, including a Distinguished Business Leadership Award from the USC School of Architecture; Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce and the San Francisco Business Times, and the National Economic Leadership Award from the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City.
Mr. MacFarlane serves on the boards of directors of Curbline Properties Corp., Veris Residential and the advisory board of the Robert Toigo Foundation. He also serves as an emeritus board member of the Real Estate Executive Council, which he co-founded to promote the interests of minority commercial real estate executives. He is a member and former director of the Pension Real Estate Association, and a member and former trustee of the Urban Land Institute.
Mr. MacFarlane received a B.A. from the University of New Mexico, a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
